The Johann Fritsche Quartet was founded 2019 in Leipzig and is now based in Stockholm and Berlin. The band captivates with music ranging from melancholic and dark to humorous and energetic. Their pieces reflect a sense of melancholy and playful self-irony, influenced by the personal experiences of the musicians. With expressive melodies, exceptional tonal colors, and unique dynamics, the band creates a distinctive sound.
This musical journey is also reflected in their debut album “Cold as Spring,” which is set to be released soon.
